I’m in several law of attraction groups on Facebook. I’m not really sure why, as only frustration tends to come out of it.
Exhibit A: Yesterday I found a post where someone said they were grateful for the $20 million coming to them. Then no fewer than 100 other people commented with something like, “Yes, I’m thankful for my $20 million.”
This seems to be what the law of attraction has become in some circles.
But, that’s just not how it works. You can’t just have a minute of positive thought about a goal that would be literally life-changing to you, and think you stand any chance of that goal magically showing up in your reality.
It takes real inner work. That inner work is quite often terrifying. Yes the LOA works — I’m living proof of that after all — but it’s more than “I’m grateful for [insert some massive goal here],” and that goal just shows up. That’s called wishful thinking, not LOA.
Can you manifest life-changing goals? Of course you can. That’s exactly what I’ve been setting out to prove. But you can’t do that by just wishing for it idly while making no internal changes at all.
If you want $20 million, you’ll get it only once you’ve changed your internal paradigm around money and raised your vibration.
Raising your vibration doesn’t mean you feel good today. It means that you have a totally new set of expectations and beliefs that surpass your old paradigm.
