What if you knew that quite literally, nothing bad could ever happen?
I know, that seems pretty unreasonable. You can probably name several bad things off the top of your head that have happened to you recently.
But, becoming the creator of your reality—i.e., being a magician in control of what enters your experience—requires a shift in perspective. There is nothing that just happens to you, outside of your control. It can certainly seem that way, but it’s only because you’re not used to creating deliberately.
No, as a matter of fact, nothing is ever “bad”.
There are only ever two options. Either (1) you experience something you want, and so that’s a positive. You’re on the right track and creating what you want to create.
Or (2), something happens that you don’t want, and this shows you that you’ve gone off the tracks somewhere. You’ve focused in some way that is opposed to your goal. This is a great thing, because once this comes to your attention, you realize that you can change it, and so start shifting your focus to get a different result.
It’d be like when you’re painting a painting, saying that something “bad” happened because a paint stroke didn’t go quite as you would have liked. No, it wasn’t “bad”, it just means you go in and add to it to more closely match the vision you hold for the finished product.
It’s all on your path. it’s all a beautiful blessing that leads you to greater and greater experiences.
I’ve told this story before, from way before I ever even knew about the law of attraction. But I always had a knowingness that everything would work out for me.
So it was 2011, and I had been married for two months. And, for whatever reason, the money dried up half-way through the month, and yet we still needed groceries, plus quite a few other things.
When something like this would happen, I’d often worry about it for a while. But eventually, I remember this knowingness: everything works out for me. It wasn’t just a nice thought that I’d like to believe: I believed it 100%. I’d say, “OK Universe, I don’t know how you’re going to work it out this time, but I know you’ll work it out.”
And so in that particular situation, I just happened to receive a freelance project that gave us just the money we needed to get through the rest of the month. This was within a few days of just trusting that it would all work out.
That knowingness is true of everyone, even if you don’t quite believe it right now. It’s always working out because you’re always being shown the way forward.
In my first issue of the Circle of Darkness Newsletter, I’ll be talking about the power of what I call “willful effortlessness”. It will help you to accept and even embrace whatever comes into your experience, with the knowledge that everything will work out.
It doesn’t give up your will or desire at all—quite to the contrary. It gives you full power and control to create what you want. It is the foundation of all magick.
