Many people live life in reaction mode, reacting to whatever life throws their way.
The thing about reaction mode is that it is disempowering. You give all of your power away to external circumstances, not claiming your own power to create.
It’s not just with your goals, but I mean in everyday life as well. Many of us go about our days reacting to whatever happens.
There is a better way of going about things, though.
Live with intentionality. Don’t just set intentions for your goals, but set intentions for your day, and parts of the day as well.
Firstly, set an intention for your day first thing in the morning. What do you intend to accomplish today? Set that intention and release any resistance to it.
Preview the day, and set intentions for each part. Intend for you to have a good meeting. Intend to get plenty of work done, and enjoy doing it.
And then throughout the day, revisit those intentions, revising them as necessary, but always going in with clear intentions, and releasing whatever resistance arises.
The intention doesn’t just have to be for work. You could intend to have an enjoyable meal, or to read a good book. There’s no guilt in any activity you choose, as long as you choose it consciously and set an intention for it.
If you do this, you will be living proactively, choosing for yourself how your life will proceed. As you set more intentions, they will come to pass more and more often.
